EPISCOPAL PROFESSIONS

This list, based on information in Canterbury Professions, ed. Michael Richter, Canterbury and York Society 67 (1973), is in an experimental form. The episcopal professions were originally drawn up in single-sheet form; they were perhaps copied into a gospel-book, and thence into cartularies. See discussion in Canterbury Professions, ed. M.
