Geraldine Parsons
I am a Title A Fellow of Trinity College, Cambridge. My research centres on the late Middle Irish tale Acallam na Senórach. My doctoral dissertation was a literary critical study of the lengthy text, the first to engage with it as a whole. I am now engaged in the preparation of a new edition of that text.
I am affiliated to the Department of Anglo-Saxon, Norse and Celtic in the University of Cambridge. I have amassed considerable teaching experience there across the subjects of medieval Irish language and literature, Celtic philology and palaeography.
If you are familiar with the text that I work on, you might wish to explore these
. If not, perhaps you’d like to know something about it and about medieval Ireland, its language and its literature more generally?
These pages owe their existence to my participation in the inaugural ‘Rising Stars’ course in public communication, run by the Office of Community Affairs in the University of Cambridge, and to James who has helped me create this website.
