BATH CHARTERS
1. (S 51) Osric, king, grants 100 hides near Bath, Somerset, to Abbess Berta, for the foundation of a minster. A.D. 676 [or 675]
2. (S 1168) Wigheard, with the consent of King Wulfhere (of Mercia), grants forty hides at Slæpi (probably Islip, Oxfordshire) to Abbess Beorngyth and her minster. [A.D. 671 x 672]
3. (S 1167) Æthelmod, with the consent of King Æthelred (of Mercia), grants twenty hides by the river Cherwell, Oxfordshire, to Abbess Beorngyth and Folcburg. [A.D. 680]
4. (S 265) Cynewulf, king of the Saxons, grants five hides at North Stoke, Somerset, to St Peter's minster, Bath. A.D. 808 [for 757 x 758]
5. (S 414) King Æthelstan grants ten hides at Priston, Somerset, and five hides at Cold Ashton, Gloucestershire, to the familia of St Peter's minster, Bath. A.D. 931
