- Peter Binney, in Archbold Marshall’s Peter Binney, Undergraduate (1899)
- Dan Dare, hero of the comic-strip ‘Dan Dare, Pilot of the Future’, serialised in The Eagle. Matriculated ca. 1985.
- Henry Esmond, in William Makepeace Thackeray’s The History of Henry Esmond (1852).
- Emma Lavenham, a Fellow, girlfriend and subsequently wife of Commander Adam Dagleish in various novels by P. D. James.
- Lord Gerald Palliser, in Anthony Trollope’s The Duke’s Children (1880).
