Discovering Trinity College: Sarah-Anne Giles (2014)

“Before csarah-anne-gilesoming to Trinity College, I was fortunate enough to benefit from its Access Programme. Since neither of my parents had been to university, I knew very little about what higher education entailed, and particularly little about Oxbridge. It was initiatives such as the residential programme that helped me to decide that reading law at Cambridge was the right choice for me. The residential gave me insight into Cambridge’s application process, what an interview would be like, the teaching system used by the university, and the people who would supervise me if I were to attend Trinity College. I have just finished my second year reading law and I am eternally grateful that this programme was available to help me make the right decision. I delight in now helping run the residential as a student volunteer, knowing that only a few years ago I was in the same position.” – Sarah-Anne Giles (2014)
