Widely recognised as one of the Bar’s leading silks in the field of professional liability, Sue Carr (1987) has had a distinguished career during her 25 years as a member of chambers. She read Law at Trinity and was appointed to the High Court, Queen’s Bench Division on 14 June 2013, receiving the customary appointment as a Dame Commander of The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire.
She was chair of the Professional Negligence Bar Association (2007-2008), chair of the Bar Standard Board’s Professional Conduct Committee (2008-2010) and head of chambers from January 2012 onwards. She was named Professional Negligence Silk of the Year at the Chambers & Partners’ Bar Awards 2012. She is also a governing Bencher of the Inner Temple
