Give to Trinity and unlock more funding for students across Cambridge

In 2019, the Harding Challenge was established, following a generous donation from David and Claudia Harding to the University of Cambridge.

The aim of this exciting initiative is to encourage new donors, and those who have not given recently, to make a donation. All eligible gifts to Trinity will also unlock an equal amount of funding from the Harding Challenge Fund that will be used to support undergraduate students with the greatest need across collegiate Cambridge, while the original gift will remain with Trinity. New donations of any size up to £100,000 can contribute to the Harding Challenge – every pound makes a tangible difference.

To qualify, the donation must be made to one of our student support funds, for a bursary or studentship, or more broadly for student activities (which include the Choir and the Boat Club). Please contact us if you are unsure whether the area of support you are interested in will be accepted for the Harding Challenge.

The scheme is open to donors in three different categories:

  • Those who have not given to Trinity, another College or the University before
  • Those who made their last donation before 31 July 2020
  • Those who made their first donation between 1 August 2019 and 31 July 2022, and have not made more than three donations since

To make a donation now, please visit our giving pages.
