Initial Setup Guides

Network Connection

To connect to the network via a network cable to the network socket in your room you will need:

  • An Ethernet port on your computer. Or an appropriate adapter, for example USB to Ethernet.
  • A network cable. You can collect one from the IT Office during the surgery hour (Mon-Fri 2pm-3pm).

To Activate Your Network Connection:

  1. Connect the network cable to the network card and the network socket on the wall.
  2. Set your network card to get an IP address automatically via DHCP. See below for detailed instructions for your operating system.
  3. Open your web browser, type in a URL address that you have not visited before, like and hit return.
  4. You will be redirected to the TCDN Registration form. Click the Click here to log-in using Raven link.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions.
