Gilles Kepel, Professor at the Université Paris Sciences et Lettres (PSL) and director of the Middle East and Mediterranean Program a PSL, based at École Normale Supérieure will give this year’s Birkbeck Lectures:
The History of Modern Jihad, from the Middle East to Europe, 1973-2022
The lectures will drawn on his recent book Away from Chaos. The Middle East and the Challenge to the West (Columbia University Press, 2020)
Lectures will take place on: 22, 23, 29 and 30 November 2022 at 5 pm
in the Winstanley Lecture Theatre
