Trinity Research Talk: Dr Andrea Pizzi

Join us online on Thursday, 6 April for a talk given by one of our Junior Research Fellows, Dr Andrea Pizzi.
About Andrea
Andrea obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Turin and an international Master’s Degree in Physics of Complex systems from a consortium of universities in Italy and France (including Polytechnic of Turin, SISSA Trieste, University Paris Sud, …). He moved on to pursuing a PhD in Physics at the University of Cambridge, under the joint supervision of Profs. Andreas Nunnenkamp and Austen Lamacraft, and spending extensive time in research visits in Prof. Johannes Knolle’s group at the Technical University of Munich. After obtaining the PhD in 2022 with a thesis on “Discrete time crystals beyond the MBL paradigm”, Andrea moved to Harvard for a postdoctoral position in Norman Yao’s group, and plans on returning to Cambridge in 2024 as a fellow under Title A (JRF) at Trinity College.
