Trinity Research Talk: Dr Naomi Richman

March 1 at 18:00 to 19:30 GMT

Dr Naomi Richman is a Junior Research Fellow in Anthropology at Trinity. Before taking up this post, Naomi was a Postdoctoral Researcher on the Wellcome Trust funded project, ‘Hidden Persuaders’, at Birkbeck College. She completed her doctorate at the University of Oxford in 2020, having also completed her undergraduate and postgraduate studies at Oxford. Naomi’s research explores contemporary debates around religion and society, particularly concerning matters of cultural identity, gender and sexuality.

In this talk, Naomi will explore how an understanding of religion can help us to see African perspectives on sexuality in new and productive ways.
