IN CONVERSATION WITH GIORGIO STOCK, PRESIDENT TURNER EMEA: Personal Reflections on the Future of Global Media

Home to a growing portfolio of multi-platform brands as diverse as Cartoon Network, Bleacher Report and CNN, Turner, a Time Warner company, creates and programmes branded news; entertainment; children’s and young adult; and sports media environments on television and other platforms for consumers around the world. A content creator and curator, it operates at the heart of the digital disruption shaping the media industry today.

Giorgio Stock is president of Turner EMEA. He has executive oversight of all entertainment and children’s networks and media services, the distribution of CNN’s services, and licensing and merchandising activity in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Based in London, he joined Turner in April 2013 after a 15-year career with Disney.

This evening Giorgio will initially talk about his personal journey, the decisions he has made in his career and why.  He will then explore the current challenges facing global media, and give a personal view of the way it may develop in the future, given the growing influence of changing audience behaviour, data and new technology.

The talk will take place in Bernards Inn Hall in Gresham College, which can be easily missed. It is reached down a narrow passage off Holborn, adjacent to the TM Lewin Shirt shop close to Chancery Lane tube station. It would help to enter the postcode EC1N 2HH into Google Maps to guide you.

The nearest Underground station is Chancery Lane on the Central Line (exit 3) Two NCP car parks are within easy walking distance, on St. Andrew Street and on Farringdon Road. The following buses pass close by: 8, 17, 25, 45, 46, 242, 341, 501 and 521.
