A very exciting opportunity has arisen for Trinity alumni to explore a special exhibition of Dorothea Tanning’s work at Tate Modern. Dorothea Tanning was an American painter, printmaker, sculptor, writer and poet and this exhibition has received a number of five-star reviews, including from The Guardian.
This exclusive viewing will take place before the Gallery opens for the day and will be guided by the exhibition’s curator, Dr Alyce Mahon (e2000) – Trinity Fellow and Reader in Modern and Contemporary Art. Light refreshments will follow.
Places are extremely limited for this event.
“I hope the exhibition helps people see that Surrealism challenged rigid boundaries of sexual, gender, racial, and national identity – it’s a positive example for us all.” – Dr Alyce Mahon
