Should you have any enquiries\, please contact alumni-events@trin.cam.ac.uk. \n  \nThis year we shall be taking on the challenges at Cambridge Meridian Golf Club (CMGC) on Thursday 5 June. Sitting majestically in a 210 acre site between the villages of Comberton and Toft\, the course is one of the only ten worldwide to straddle the Meridien Line. \nThe day begins with Tea/Coffee and sandwiches at the Clubhouse from 12 noon\, prior to the friendly competition beginning on the course at 1pm. Following the round\, we shall return to Trinity for dinner and to hand out the prizes for longest drive and nearest the pin\, before awarding the Sandy Bradbrook Trophy to this year’s winning player. \nThe timetable for the day will be as follows: \n12-1pm: Arrival\, sandwiches and coffee at CMGC \n1-1.40pm: Tee times \n5-6pm: Post-round tea \n7.45-9.30pm: Dinner and Prize Giving at Trinity College \nIf you cannot stay for dinner\, it is possible to book a golf only ticket. \n—————– \n\nFor a review of Golf Day 2024\, click here.\n\n—————– \nFurther information: \nGolf Buggies – It is possible to hire a buggy for this event at an additional cost of £30 (payable directly to the CMGC). Lord Wolfson of Aspley Guise is the CEO of Next plc – the high street brand whose recent strong performances have been viewed as bucking the trend. \nLord Wolfson is also a Trinity alumnus and it is fantastic to have this opportunity to spend some time in his company and to learn from his experiences in business. \nSimon Wolfson was educated at Trinity College\, Cambridge where he graduated with a degree in Law.  \nHe started working for Next in 1991 as a Sales Assistant and joined the Board as Sales and Marketing Director in 1997. In 1999 he was made Managing Director and was appointed Chief Executive in August 2001. Since he became Chief Executive Next shares have outperformed the FTSE 100 index by more than 500%. \nSimon has always had an active interest in economics\, history and politics and was created a Peer in May 2010 \nThe talk will be followed by a Q&A and a drinks and networking reception. \nWe are very grateful to TBCA committee member\, Avalon Lee-Bacon\, for hosting this event gratis at Dawn Capital (Manette Street\, London).
