Banking in a changing world : the challenges
J.P. Morgan is perhaps the most powerful and influential financial house today, the sole global bank that is pre-eminent in both investment banking and commercial banking. To many it represents the bedrock of the financial system. In the UK, where J.P. Morgan employs over 16,000 people, the bank’s established position in the market was consolidated with the acquisition of Cazenove in 2005.
Viswas Raghavan was recently appointed as Chief Executive in the EMEA region and as such, is responsible for the Bank’s response to Brexit as well as the changing face of regulation. He once described his management philosophy as making sure that bankers are always slightly outside their comfort zone; the enemy is complacency.
The evening’s discussion and Q&A will be followed by a reception.
