Accessing books and resources during the Covid-19 outbreak

Contacting the library

Although the Library is closed during the current lockdown, we are still able to help with access to books and other resources.

Staff are working from home but are ready and able to answer your email queries (

Our Twitter feed and Facebook page mostly feature beautiful photos from our collections, light relief, and resources for mindfulness and mental relaxation; they are monitored daily, and we are happy to re-direct queries received through those channels as well.

The University Library has provided a useful guide to working remotely as well as a web page devoted to e-resources.


Search on iDiscover for ebooks.  Remember you can limit your search to ebooks by clicking on the dropdown option to the right of the search box.

If you cannot find a particular item, you’re welcome to get in touch with us at and we will contact the ebooks team on your behalf.  If there is no ebook available, there may be other options to pursue.

Electronic journals

Search on iDiscover for electronic journals.  There are also links in many of Trinity Library’s own records for journals which can be found on the library catalogue.
