Trinity students chart their own experience of being black at Cambridge in a compelling exhibition of portraits and a revealing short film.
Trinity alumnus Dr Peter Biar Ajak is the first South Sudanese national to be awarded a PhD from the University of Cambridge.
Leading writers Ben Okri and Benjamin Zephaniah will be in conversation on Thursday 15 October, 4pm-5.30pm, as part of Trinity’s celebration of Black History Month.
Black History Month at Trinity will feature an exhibition of students’ portraits by Henry Kamara and a film by Sonum Sumaria charting the students’ journeys to the College and their plans for the future.
In an inventive play on the College’s history, Trinity College Students’ Union and the Tutorial Office have recruited founder Henry VIII and Elizabeth I to welcome students and convey COVID-19 messages in a clever and amusing way.
