As part of the 40th anniversary of women undergraduates arriving at Trinity, the College commissioned a film from Sonum Sumaria, co-founder of Guerrera Films and alumna.
A grand set of rooms in the oldest part of College plays host to an eclectic exhibition of art by three former Fellow Commoners in the Creative Arts at Trinity.
During summer 2018, History student Amelia Hutchinson undertook an internship researching the hidden histories of women at Trinity, as part of the 40th anniversary celebrations of undergraduate women’s arrival at the College. Paula Wolff, Library Assistant, caught up with Amelia to discuss the project and her research, which is published below.
Trinity Fellow Dr Hugh Hunt will recreate the tunnel of the legendary ‘Great Escape’ from a German prisoner-of-war camp to reveal the remarkable engineering by RAF airmen 75 years ago at a commemorative event on Sunday 24 March.
Dr Alyce Mahon, Fellow of Trinity and Reader in Modern and Contemporary Art at Cambridge, has curated the first large-scale exhibition of Dorothea Tanning’s work for 25 years. She created and curated the show for the world-leading Museo Reina Sofia in Madrid, where it ran from November 2018 through January 2019 and she has co-curated a second version of it for Tate Modern, from 27 February to 9 June 2019.
