Dr Alyce Mahon, Fellow of Trinity and Reader in Modern and Contemporary Art at Cambridge, has curated the first large-scale exhibition of Dorothea Tanning’s work for 25 years. She created and curated the show for the world-leading Museo Reina Sofia in Madrid, where it ran from November 2018 through January 2019 and she has co-curated a second version of it for Tate Modern, from 27 February to 9 June 2019.
Professor Dame Sally Davies DBE FRS FMedSci has been appointed the next Master of Trinity during the 40th anniversary of co-education at the College. Dame Sally will take up the role on 8 October 2019 when she will be formally ‘installed’ in a traditional ceremony attended by the Fellowship of Trinity.
Trinity chefs have pulled out all the stops for this year’s Pink Week Formal Hall on Thursday 7 February, when students dress, eat and drink pink for charity.
Ardis Butterfield is Marie Borroff Professor of English, French and Music at Yale, before which she was at UCL. An undergraduate at Trinity in the second year of female admission, Professor Butterfield has returned to the College as Senior Visiting Fellow Commoner for a year.
