Graduates wishing to study in Cambridge apply both to a Faculty or Department and to a College. Graduate teaching and supervisions are arranged by the relevant Faculty and not by the College. This means that there need be no necessary connection between the subjects taught by the Fellows of the College and those studied by graduates at the College. Trinity welcomes applications for any field of study pursued at Cambridge University.
There are approximately 350 graduate students at Trinity at any one time. About half arrive at Trinity after taking their undergraduate degree elsewhere; the rest were undergraduates at Trinity. Trinity attracts graduate applicants of the highest academic calibre from universities all over the world, and so graduate life at the College has a highly international flavour. This large and diverse body of students means that Trinity offers a thriving and wide-ranging graduate community.

Postgraduate Open Day
The University of Cambridge usually holds a Postgraduate Open Day in November but, in light of the latest government advice, the in-person Cambridge Postgraduate Open Day in 2020 has been cancelled. The University is working to produce a virtual alternative which will be available in November. More information about this will be published in September.
