Administrative Assistant/Secretary

Trinity College founded by Henry VIII in 1546 is the largest and most impressive of the Cambridge colleges. Staff can enjoy working in beautiful surroundings and within magnificent buildings which include the Great Court and Nevile’s Court. The College has approximately 190 Fellows, 350 staff, 700 undergraduate students and 400 post graduate students.

The Senior Bursar’s office, which mainly looks after the College’s investments and Trust Funds, is seeking to appoint an Administrative Assistant/Secretary who will provide support to the Senior Bursar, Senior Secretary and Assistant to the Senior Bursar. The office also provides support to the Secretary of the College Council.

The successful candidate will assist with a wide variety of administrative and secretarial duties including diary management, managing a busy email box, organising and arranging meetings, maintaining paper and paperless filing systems as well being responsible for aspects of the administration of Committee papers.

As the first point of contact in the office you must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) and experience of working in a busy office environment.   You should also have excellent keyboard skills and able to use all Microsoft Office programs. The successful candidate will be experienced in dealing with a wide variety of people and issues with tact and discretion. If you are highly organised, confident and able to work without detailed supervision this would be the ideal role for you.
