College Lectureship and Fellowship in Philosophy

Applications are invited for appointment to a College Lectureship in Philosophy together with a Fellowship, tenable for five years in the first instance.  The successful applicant will be expected to teach and direct studies in the Philosophy Tripos. Consideration will only be given to candidates who at the time of taking up the post will hold a Faculty teaching position in the Philosophy Faculty of the University of Cambridge.

The Lectureship will require 6 hours per week of college teaching (for 20 weeks per year) and will be tenable only by a person holding another salaried academic appointment in the University.  The stint is reduced to 4 hours per week for those who hold a University Professorship. The stipend (payable in addition to the University salary) will be in the range £9,288 – £12,313 per annum, together with other benefits of College membership. The starting point is usually point 5 on the scale.

Applicants should submit a covering letter; a curriculum vitae, including a statement of qualifications, publications, and teaching experience; and should also ensure that three referees have been asked to submit references before the closing date of  19 October 2018. Applications and references should be sent to the Fellowship Administrator at Trinity College, preferably by email to fellows.office@trin.cam.ac.uk.
