Ideally you will have a basic knowledge of gardening skills and practices and an understanding of working with an important plant collection, and all that is relevant in the day to day care and looking after such historic grounds.
Some Horticultural qualifications, preferably to RHS level 2, are desirable, but if you are that self-taught, dedicated and motivated gardener, we will be happy to talk to you. The post holder will be required to operate the College horticultural machinery in a safe and competent manner and so you must also hold a full valid driving license.
You should be able to work on your own for some periods of time and equally to work comfortably as part of our team.
