The College is seeking to appoint a reliable and flexible Handyperson. As a member of our friendly Housekeeping team you will carry out a range of cleaning duties in various communal areas and in the courts in order to maintain the Trinity environment. Principal duties will include the collection of rubbish, clearing spills, sweeping courts, moving furniture and other minor routine maintenance tasks. The post holder will therefore undertake physical repetitive manual activities which will often involve working outside.
You must be comfortable working as part of a team, as well as able to work independently, organising your time without continuous supervision. You should be able to use your initiative to deliver high standards of service and have a “can do” attitude. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability to be observant and able to report or follow up on issues or areas of concern. Good communication skills are essential as the successful candidate must be able to communicate with a wide variety of people as well as follow written and verbal instructions.
The post holder must have a clean and tidy appearance. A uniform (including PPE) will be provided and should be worn at all times whilst working.
Standard working hours are Monday to Thursday 0800 to 1645, with an unpaid lunch break of ¾ hour, Friday 0800 to 1600 with an unpaid lunch break of 1 hour, to a total of 39 hours per week.
Salary: £20,359 per annum.
