A vacancy has arisen in the IT (Computing) Department at Trinity College, Cambridge for an IT Developer. Technology plays a pivotal role in enabling the College to deliver its core research and administrative activities. To support this we are seeking to appoint a flexible problem solver who will be accountable for the development, upkeep, maintenance and security of the Colleges bespoke applications and databases.
The postholder will carry out application and system development using a variety of platforms and technologies. The post holder will also support and integrate the College’s off the shelf business systems. This position demands the ability to work in liaison with people of all levels both within the College as well as with external suppliers. You must therefore have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
The IT Developer will work closely with other developers in identifying risks and issues in projects and will be expected to develop high quality applications to requirements and design specifications ensuring robust quality products are delivered on time.
Candidates must have a good standard of education to include A level or an equivalent IT related qualification and at least two years’ experience in supporting and developing IT applications and databases in a large user-base environment. You should also be able to create re-useable low maintenance code with cross platform browser compatibility and have experience in development programming ethics.
Salary £31882 – £37119 per annum on an incremental scale, plus additional benefits.
