The Alumni Relations and Development Office is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and enhance its professional and friendly team. The office works with alumni, friends and donors and is responsible for organising communications, events and fundraising activities. Activities include an extensive programme of events both on site and around the world, producing annual publications and managing a growing fundraising programme. This is an exciting opportunity for somebody to be the first point of contact for many alumni, friends and donors to the College as well as providing critical administrative support in a busy office.
The post holder’s duties will include being responsible for answering front line calls, emails and visits to the office, managing office supplies and providing administrative assistance for mailings produced by the office. Excellent data skills are needed, as the post will be responsible for all updating of alumni data records. As part of a high performing team in a busy office, attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines and under pressure is essential. We are looking for a positive, professional person who enjoys being part of team, is willing to help others, and is self-motivated. An excellent command of written and spoken English, and a confident and polite telephone manner, are essential skills for this role
This is a part-time position of 21¼ hours per week. It would be preferable that the hours of work are spread over five days, Monday to Friday; however, an alternative working pattern of the 21¼ hours will be considered for suitable candidates. Salary scale £18,847 – £21,084 per annum pro rata (£11,048 – £12,359 per annum) plus additional benefits.
