Section Chefs (Chef De Partie)

Trinity College is the largest of the Cambridge Colleges with a diverse community of over 700 undergraduates, 300 post-graduates, 180 Fellows and 350 staff. We wish to appoint two Section Chefs who will be responsible for producing innovative, high quality dishes for the College community. Services include dishes for students, staff and Fellows, private dinners and special functions.

The College has exciting opportunities for two Section Chefs with a working knowledge and proven track record in delivering classical and modern methods of cookery in a commercial environment. Applicants must be qualified to NVQ 2 Hospitality and Catering or equivalent and have a good working knowledge of health and safety/allergen regulations as well as an awareness of special diets and nutrition.

Applicants must be creative, enthusiastic and have a professional attitude to work. Good organisational skills, efficiency and commitment to high personal performance standards are required. Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a busy team are essential together with a desire to demonstrate and develop their skills in this fast moving, high quality, professional environment.

This is a full time position working on a shift rota basis. In return you will receive a salary of £25,245.92 per annum which includes the 12% shift allowance and other benefits.
