The Access and Outreach Fund

Trinity’s outreach programme runs targeted initiatives to increase the aspirations of school students and encourage them to consider higher education. Although it is hoped to encourage talented students from all backgrounds to apply to Trinity and Cambridge, our primary goal is to raise ambitions, encourage school students to aim high, and make informed decisions when it comes to higher education.

Alongside schools we support directly with advice, residentials and visits, we also work with established partners within the sector to deliver wider impact. With the help of the Access & Outreach fund, over 1000 students and 11 schools in Great Yarmouth received academic support in 2024 through Trinity’s partnership with IntoUniversity. Going forward, we are hoping to reach even more students.

Amber Silk (Outreach Coordinator)

“The Access and Outreach Fund enables us to run long-term programs supporting students from primary school to university applications. A couple of years ago we set up an educational centre in Great Yarmouth where students receive academic support, explore new subjects, and then visit Trinity to meet our ambassadors and receive mentoring. This benefits prospective students but is also a great benefit for our students here at Trinity who get paid work experience as ambassadors and mentors.”

Any gift, of any amount can have an huge impact on how we are able to support current and future students.
