Mentoring at Trinity

Figuring out the next steps after university is daunting. Perhaps you already have a career plan and are simply seeking some advice from someone who has been down that road. Or maybe you are at a crossroads and could benefit from speaking to someone who has been through the same and successfully landed in another career.

Trinity is committed to supporting its students for a lifetime by creating networks and fostering supportive relationships. Our alumni community is full of brilliant people in all sorts of industries who are willing to guide and help current students on their paths. Engaging with each other is not just a way to give and receive advice; it’s also a chance to build connections that could last a lifetime.

Alumni – your connection to the college does not end when you graduate. You are a part of a lifelong community and we would be honoured to have you share your wisdom and make an impact as mentors on the next generation.

Current students – if you are in need of some guidance and support or have an individual you would like to be connected to, do not hesitate to reach out. Trinity aims to provide you with the best possible opportunities and our incredible alumni community is there to support you.

Mentoring Month

As part of our commitment to ensuring that Trinity students are provided with the opportunity to develop the skills, capabilities and connections they require for their futures, the Alumni Relations & Development Office run a yearly Mentoring Month.
Current students are paired with volunteer alumni who are able to provide valuable guidance and insights into the students’ preferred careers whilst supporting the development of skills necessary to achieve their aspirations.

Mentoring months are run in partnership with the Tutorial Office, Trinity’s Alumni Associations and other volunteer alumni.
Note: The Trinity Law Association (TLA) runs their own mentoring program, for more information please see the TLA Alumni Association page.

Meet one of our first mentorship pairings and read about what they gained from their collaboration on page 26 of The Fountain Issue 32
