Providing life-changing opportunities: The Dunlevie Fund
Bruce (1977) and Elizabeth Dunlevie established the Dunlevie Fund in 2002. Thanks to their generosity, each year Trinity undergraduates can undertake cultural, sporting, or other extra-curricular activities which they would not otherwise be able to afford.

Here are just a few examples of the wide array of horizon-expanding opportunities made possible for our students in 2022-23.
Luca Muscarella (Natural Sciences, 2019)
Thanks to your kindness, I had the opportunity to try paragliding for the first time, an experience that has left an indelible mark on my spirit. With the funds provided by your donation, I embarked on two unforgettable ten-minute flights near picturesque Lake Endine in Italy. The breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape, the rush of wind against my face, and the sheer joy of gliding through the air are memories that will forever hold a special place in my heart.
Your generosity not only granted me a once-in-a-lifetime adventure but also reminded me of the transformative power of philanthropy. You have touched the lives or countless individuals, and I am grateful to be among them.

Jonathon Ooi (Economics, 2020)
I am so grateful for the Dunlevie Fund that supported me in completing my first half marathon. The preparation and training, and of course completing the race itself, was incredibly rewarding. This is certainly an experience I will cherish for the rest of my life.
Prior to beginning university, I had never run further than 5km, so being able to build up to completing a half marathon (21.1km) taught me many lessons of persistence and determination. The race was very challenging but a lot of fun. The vibrant atmosphere and support from the crowds spurred me on to finish the half marathon in 1 hour 45 mins 42 secs, faster than any of my training runs! I was also able to raise over £400 for CPSL Mind, a mental health charity based in Cambridge.
I am amazed by how far my physical fitness has improved through this experience, and it has motivated me to continue training for even greater goals. Thank you, Bruce and Elizabeth Dunlevie for supporting me in my journey to challenge myself physically and mentally.

Callum Stephenson (Chemical Engineering, 2021)
I would like to thank you for the opportunity this fund has given me to widen my horizons and explore new places. I thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Bulgaria and Turkey.
We took a night bus for Sofia to Istanbul and we spent most of the first day getting our bearings, as well as visiting one of the smaller non-tourist markets. On the second day, we went to the Asian side of Istanbul and also looked around the Grand Bazaar in Fatih. It was an incredible and unique experience. Visiting Hagia Sofia and other surrounding mosques was also a great part of the trip, being able to learn more about different cultures and religions. Last, but not least, Sarah and I met a great deal of cats.

Sarah Cunningham (English, 2021)
I would like to thank you for the opportunities your generous donation presented me with. The trips to Sofia and Istanbul are the furthest abroad I have ever been, and in Istanbul I even managed to cross over to the Asian continent for the first time.
