Summer General Assistants, Works Department

Temporary positions for the summer – until the end of September 2023 

The Works Department of Trinity College is looking to recruit 3 General Assistants over the summer (until 29^th September 2023), to assist with a very busy work schedule.

The General Assistants will assist with our legionella preventative measures by recording water temperatures and flushing taps and showers across our extensive site. You may also be asked to help with furniture moving for storage, together with identifying items for repair or disposal.

The role involves walking long distances across the College site as well as going up and down stairs.  You must also be prepared to lift and move furniture when required, work as part of a team, be adaptable, use your initiative, have good communication skills and a positive attitude.

Rate of pay is £11.38 per hour and the hours of work will be 35 per week, working 8.00am – 4.00pm, Monday to Friday. A free lunch is provided when your duties cover this period.
