College Crest

Postgraduate teaching at Cambridge is managed outside College by the Departments and Faculties of the University, so the primary role of the College is to provide welfare and financial support for its postgraduate members.

We understand that new students arrive from a range of backgrounds and experiences so, although some may understand Cambridge systems well, others may need advice and support to help them settle into College life.  Trinity provides a wealth of support to ensure that all its postgraduate students can make the most of their time at Cambridge.

College Tutors

All postgraduate students at Trinity are assigned a Tutor who will be the first port of call for help and advice relating to the College. Each Tutor is supported in this role by a Tutorial Administrator who can also give advice to students on a range of matters.

College Chaplains

Trinity has two Chaplains who form an integral part of the Tutorial team at Trinity. As well as leading daily worship and running many groups and activities, the Chaplains can advise on Christian and other faith groups in College and elsewhere in Cambridge.

Adviser to Women Students

One Fellow in the College is appointed as the Adviser to Women Students.  This Fellow is available to any female student who would like to discuss an issue (personal or academic) that she would prefer not to discuss with, or before speaking to, her Tutor.

Trinity BA Society

All postgraduate members belong to the BA Society, the College’s student-run society which looks after the interests of postgraduate members. The BA Society Committee plays an integral role in helping to welcome new postgraduate members to the College and arranging numerous social events throughout the year.  The Society also represents the views of its members across a range of College Committees.

College Health Practitioners

Trinity College has its own College Nurse, Mental Health Adviser and College Counsellor who are available to students during term time.

University Support

The University has excellent support mechanisms in place for those who wish to seek advice from specialist teams. These include the University’s Accessibility & Disability Resource Centre and the Counselling Service.
