Applications are invited for appointment to two six-hour College Lectureships in Medical Sciences (UTO), together with a Fellowship, tenable for five years from 1 September 2026 in the first instance, with the possibility of reappointment to the retiring age. The successful applicants will be expected to contribute significantly to teaching within the Cambridge Medical Sciences Tripos and to the direction of pre-clinical studies. Teaching experience should align with either ‘Functional Architecture of the Body’ or ‘Homeostasis’ in Part 1A, or ‘Neurobiology and Human Behaviour’ or ‘Mechanisms of Drug Action’ in Part 1B. Candidates should be research-active scientists who hold a full-time faculty position within the University or affiliated institutions.

The Lectureships will require 6 hours of teaching per week during the 20 weeks of the undergraduate year. The starting salary, payable in addition to the university salary, will normally be on Step 7 of the College scale for 6-hour lecturers (£13,260 per annum).
