Trinity Women’s Network – Wine Tasting
May 18 at 18:00 to 20:00 BST
The Trinity Women’s Network is delighted to invite members for an evening of wine tasting, nibbles, networking and catching up with friends in London from 6pm.
This free event will take place on Thursday 18 May, at Operis Europe, 110 Cannon Street from 6pm.
The wine tasting will be expertly hosted by Laura at Vergelegen.
Vergelegen wine estate, established in 1700 in Somerset West, South Africa, is a treasure trove of sustainability, wine, heritage and hospitality. Vergelegen was the first South African producer to be awarded the Biodiversity and Wine Initiative ‘Champion’ status in March 2005, having made remarkable progress with the largest privately funded alien vegetation clearing project in South Africa, completed in 2018. Vergelegen has over 250 plant species of which 22 are on the Red Data List of critically endangered species. There are 158 bird species. Bontebok, once considered the rarest antelope in the world, thrive at Vergelegen. The estate is also home to eland and quagga, a sub-species of zebra. Cape leopard, caracal, grey rhebok and spotted genet are regularly viewed on camera footage and guided environmental tours are popular. The estate is a provincial heritage site, ensuring its enjoyment by future generations.
