Tributes paid to Mihajlo Sporić

Tributes have been paid to Mihajlo Sporić, a third year Physics student at Trinity, who was buried today in his home town of Belgrade, Serbia, at a service attended by more than a thousand people.

Trinity’s Senior Tutor, Professor Catherine Barnard, said:

Mihajlo showed incredible bravery during his long illness. And throughout he demonstrated a deep love for the College and all that it stood for. This is reflected on his tombstone.

We are going to miss Mihajlo very much indeed. He was a magnificent student and our thoughts are with his friends and his delightful family, whom we have got to know over the recent months.

A memorial service at Trinity will be held for Mihajlo on 18 January 2020. A book of condolence can be signed in the Wren Library.

Mihajlo was a Senior Scholar at Trinity
