Trinity appoints Emma Davies as Junior Bursar

Trinity is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms Emma Davies as the next Junior Bursar, responsible for the non-academic operations of the College. Emma is a lawyer, who most recently was Registrar (Chief Executive) of St Paul’s Cathedral in London. Previously Emma held senior appointments in the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Justice.

The Master, Dame Sally Davies, who chaired the appointment committee, said:

I am delighted to welcome Emma to Trinity. Her broad experience at senior levels of the civil service and at St Paul’s Cathedral makes her the ideal candidate to succeed Dr David Secher in the role. Emma was selected following an extensive international search in which the appointment committee was advised by recruitment consultants, Minerva.

Emma Davies will join Trinity in September.

Ms Davies will join Trinity on 19 September and will be elected to a Fellowship in October.

Ms Davies commented:

I am honoured to be chosen as the Junior Bursar of this great institution. I am looking forward enormously to serving the College and I hope that my skills and experience will prove of value to the whole community of students, staff and Fellows.
