The Distinguished Speaker Series is back on Wednesday 23 September (6.30-8.30pm) and we invite members to join us for a stimulating evening of conversation from one of Britain’s foremost media and marketing executives, known for his strategic and technological leadership. Although Mark recently stepped away from his role as CEO of WPP – the world’s largest advertising company – he continues to be at the forefront of technology in business and, in particular, the AI space.

Mark is a Trinity alumnus himself, and we are hugely looking forward to this opportunity to benefit from his insights into one of the fastest moving sectors in business.

The talk and Q&A will be followed by a drinks and networking reception.

Mark is passionate about the role of technology in business and is currently advising a number of AI companies. In November 2025, Mark became Chair of Fifty5Blue (previously Kantar Media). He was previously CEO of WPP for 7 years and before that, he spent 30 years working in the media, marketing and advertising industries, primarily at WPP. 

He received a CBE in the King’s New Year Honours 2024 list for services to the creative industries and was made a Fellow of the IPA in 2021 for outstanding service to the industry.  He is an Emeritus Trustee of the Natural History Museum.
