Come and Sing!

Music student Frankie Postles invites young people in Cambridge to Come and Sing at Trinity on Saturday 9 June.

What happens at Come and Sing?

Young people, aged 6-13 years old (and their parents and guardians), are invited to join us in Trinity College Chapel this Saturday for a few hours of singing together. The workshop starts at noon, with a short performance at 2pm. The workshops are directed by musicians at Trinity, from a variety of subjects and stages of their own musical development.

Who can take part?

Anyone between the ages of 6 and 13 and no musical experience is required! Parents and guardians are required to remain in Chapel for the duration of the workshop – refreshments will be provided.

What will people get out of it?

We hope the event will provide a unique and exciting opportunity for those who have experienced little music-making outside the National Curriculum, as well as for more experienced young singers.

Why does Trinity College Music Society run the event?

Every musician in Cambridge can remember initiatives that shaped their musical development at some point in their childhood. This is an opportunity for us to give back, help forming the next generation of musicians.

How do I sign up?

Places are free, on first come, first served basis. Please reserve your place  and come to the Chapel at Trinity from 11.45am on Saturday 9 June. Please enter the College through Great Gate on Trinity Street.
