Service to celebrate the life of Mihajlo Sporić

A service to celebrate the life of Mihajlo Sporić will take place on 18 January 2020 at 3pm in Chapel.  Refreshments in the Master’s Lodge will follow the service.

Mihajlo was a third-year Physics student who sadly died in November after a long illness.

Aleksandra Dokic, a close friend of Mihajlo, said:

Mihajlo was one of those people who made others joyful, and he was a friend who put a smile on our faces with his life, his joy, his dash. He was as bright as the most brilliant star in the sky, with a mind that was quick and sharp. His goodness and kindness will not be forgotten, ever.

Dr Nicolas Bell, Mihajlo’s Tutor, said:

Mihajlo was an astonishingly talented student who seemed to find no difficulty in coming top of his year in exams. But he never allowed his intellectual brilliance to cloud his warmth of personality and support to a wide range of friends. His loss is keenly felt, but his spirit will live on in the memories of so many.

All who knew Mihajlo are encouraged to record their memories in a book of condolence which is available in the Wren Library and will be brought to the service, where it will be handed to his parents.

On the day there will be information on how to donate to a charity for young cancer survivors chosen by Mihajlo’s family.
