Samiha Hassan
First-year English student
The transition from sixth form to university is daunting. Despite this, I have learned to maintain my gratitude and positivity, knowing that my identity is an invaluable foundation. My identity has helped me to develop a strong work ethic in order to achieve a better future. The chance to study at Trinity has reinforced my belief that I deserve the opportunity to become academically successful. At Trinity, I have felt a sense of empowerment from my cultural heritage. Attending such a prestigious institution has reminded me that no-one should be limited by socio-political confines. I hope me being here will help to inspire other black students to reach their full potential.
