Annual Gatherings are a wonderful opportunity to return to College, reconnect with friends, and enjoy an evening of entertainment in your home away from home.

In September 2021, we were delighted to welcome back alumni from 2008, 2009, and 2010 for their first reunion event since graduating from Trinity. We were also joined by alumni from 1965, 1966, and 1967 who, over the years, have returned to us on many occasions.

11 September 2021: 2008, 2009, 2010
Alumni were greeted with a wonderful selection of food prepared on the Scholar’s Lawn, drinks served from the Punt Bar, live music performed by Tim Boniface and his band under the Wren Library, and games scattered throughout Nevile’s Court. Our Catering team delivered a bountiful array of desserts, not to mention the ever so famous Trinity Cheese Straws.

We couldn’t have been happier to have them back and were thrilled to see so many alumni getting into the competitive spirit with our selection of games.

A Message from the Master

The Master, Dame Sally Davies, was thrilled to see so many members returning to College and embracing the evening. She commented on how wonderful it was to see alumni charging across Nevile’s Court, running towards friends they haven’t had the opportunity to catch up with since graduation.

“I do hope you have a wonderful evening catching up with your friends, some of whom you may not have seen for a long time. This, in essence, is the most important aspect of an Annual Gathering – the chance to, for a few hours at least, transport yourself back to your time at Trinity with friends, and pick up on those conversations from 10 years ago!”

15 September 2021: 1965, 1966, 1967
Members from 1965, 1966, 1967 joined us for a more traditional affair, with Evensong in Chapel, a group photograph taking place in Nevile’s Court, before being invited to dine in Hall through the bellowing voice of the College Manciple.

As the Feast came to an end, members of the Trinity College Choir Association delivered a tuneful conclusion to an exquisite evening in Hall. It was a magnificent occasion and it was our pleasure to be able to welcome back so many alumni to College!
