Living History: Hannah Stern

My defining moment at Trinity

Living, working, and being within the Trinity College community is a huge privilege.

In particular, amongst all the hustle and bustle of College life, moments in the Trinity grounds have been a defining part of my experience. I never fail to be moved by it’s natural beauty; the peace of the Fellow’s Gardens in full sunlight on a sunday afternoon, the joyous spring bulbs shooting up beside the river, the stillness of the Great Court after a blanket of snow.

One of my favorite memories is sitting by the river after dinner one night last summer, watching the sun go down, the final punters trailing their way back along the river. Trinity is an inspiring place for many reasons, and in my opinion, the glorious physical setting is surely one of them.
