Living History: Grace Glevey
What should change?
Leading school tours in Trinity whilst the Black Cantabs exhibition has been in the Chapel has highlighted to me the importance of the College celebrating its diversity. I’d like to see Trinity being proactive and committed to reflecting the range of backgrounds and cultures that are represented in its students and fellows. The College’s portraiture is one of the most striking features for visitors and prospective students; they’re huge and they’re everywhere. Let’s have a range of portraits featuring more women and BAME alumni. Why have several Newtons looking down on you when you can have other inspiring figures to look up to?
